Incident#43 – 01/07/18

Humber Rescue were paged at 12.56pm to deal with a possible vessel in difficulties. Reports coming from a crew member on board spoke of large amounts of water coming over the top of the boat.

Humber Rescue launched the Rescue Boat and found the casualty vessel at 13.21pm, all persons on board ok.

Under escort to Hull Marina by our IRB the vessel veered off course and ended up getting grounded on the edge of the southern sandbank near to New Holland.

This circumstance meant that the vessel would have to stay until the next high tide to refloat. After the vessel had dropped anchor Humber Rescue Boat made way back to station and stood down until time comes to assist the vessel with a refloat
