At 10.59am Humber Rescue were called out to reports of a females possessions found on the Humber Bridge.
At 11.04am crews were launched to the Humber Bridge area to standby for confirmation of person in the water.
Our crew were tasked to carry out a search west of the bridge using a parallel search pattern to cover 4 miles toward Brough Haven.
Our IRB rescue boat was also launched to assist with the search north bank around North Ferriby.
Using local knowledge a search was carried out in possible locations but nothing was found. The sea state was very rough with wind over tide and gusts up to 35 knots which made the search difficult.
After 2 hours of searching all crews were stood down and returned to station.
